1. GENERAL

1.1 This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) is entered into by Stiftelsen Cognitive
Enchancement, reg. no. 802478-3584, with address Cognition Matters, c/o Karolinska Institutet, Retzius väg 8, 171 65 Solna, Sweden, e-mail: info@cognitionmatters.org, (“Cognition Matters”, “we”, “us”) and you as a user (“You”, the “User”), and applies when Cognition Matters supplies the website www.cognitionmatters.org (the “Website”) and the application Vektor (“Vektor”). The Website and Vector is jointly referred to as the “Services”.
1.2 Cognition Matters is responsible for the processing of your personal data for which we decide the purposes and the means of processing, in accordance with directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the free movement of such data. With “Personal Data” we mean information, which is directly, or indirectly referable to a natural living person, e.g. name, email-address and IP addresses. We may collect the information set out below, which may include your Personal Data.
1.3 With regards to information and Personal Data attributable to students use of the Services that is collected or processed by the Services (“Individual Training Data”), Cognition Matters are not the data controller. For these types of data that are attributable to students, We are the data processor on behalf of the data controller, which often is either a teacher or researcher in the field of cognitive learning and development and such person’s employer.

2. CONSENT

2.1 By creating a user account at our Website, or similar, you agree that we collect and process your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. PROCESSED DATA

3.1 Depending on whether you are a teacher or a parent (or custodian), We may collect and use the following Personal Data from you when you create your Cognition Matters account:
• e-mail address (only for teachers).
• IP-address, temporary to avoid abuse of the Services such as denialof-service.
3.2 Please note that we are unable to provide the Services unless you provide the above stated Personal Data.
3.3 When you use the Services, certain information will be collected  automatically by us, including;
a) information about your use of the Services;
b) technical data, which may include the URL you are accessing the Website from, your IP address, network and computer performance, browser type, language and identifying information and operating system.
3.4 We collect information through technology like cookies, pixels and local storage (like on your browser or device).

4. PURPOSES

4.1 We process your Personal Data for various purposes. Mainly we collect and process your Personal Data in order to provide, manage, develop and customize the Service and its functionalities, to manage the customer relationship with you, as well as to meet safety and other statutory requirements.

5. DATA PROCESSORS

5.1 Cognition Matters is, as data controller, always responsible for, that processing of your Personal Data is lawful.
5.2 Cognition Matters may process Personal Data on your behalf, e.g. if you entrust us with the assignment to store and manage any of your Individual Training Data as part of the education or research provided by your education provider. In such case, the relevant education provider is the Personal Data controller and responsible for the processing of such personal data.
5.3 Cognition Matters can use a personal data processor on our behalf to perform the tasks in accordance with the above, e.g. IT-suppliers, server suppliers, suppliers of digital data, analysing tools (“Data Processors”). Such processor will have the same obligations regarding the processing of Personal Data as Cognition Matters has towards you.
5.4 We may share, disclose and transfer your Personal Data to our Data Processors that process Personal Data on behalf of Cognition Matters, for the above stated purposes.
5.5 Personal Data may also be disclosed if it is necessary in order to comply with applicable legal requirements or requirements from authorities, to preserve our legal interests or to detect, prevent, or pay attention to fraud and other security or technical issues.
5.6 You hereby acknowledge, understand and agree that the privacy policy of third parties will govern all use of information provided to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

6. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

6.1 You should always be able to feel safe when you provide your personal information to Cognition Matters. We have therefore taken the security measures required to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, modification and deletion.

7. MISCELLANEOUS

7.1 Cognition Matters is responsible for ensuring that your Personal Data is treated in accordance with current legislation. We will at your request or by own initiative correct information found to be incorrect or misleading.
7.2 Cognition Matters has the right to assign its rights and obligations under this

Privacy Policy. Furthermore, Cognition Matters has the right to subcontract the performance of their duties following from this Privacy Policy.
7.3 If the ownership of our business changes, we may assign and transfer your 
information, including your user account and your Personal Data, to the new owners, or partners thereto, so they can continue the Services. This includes any transfer and assignment to a company within the Cognition Matters’ group of companies, including an owner of, or subsidiary to, Cognition Matters. Any new owner will still have to honor the commitments we have made in this Privacy Policy.
7.4 These Terms were written in English. To the extent any translated version of these Terms conflicts with the English version, the English version shall prevail.
